Statement to inventory

Paste a bank or card export. This finds the charges that repeat, cleans up the merchant names, guesses the billing cycle, and gives you rows you can paste straight into the tracker.

Nothing is uploaded. The file never leaves your browser. There is no server to send it to.

Everything below is editable. The cycle and category are guesses from the pattern of charges and the merchant name, so correct them here before you paste. Untick anything that is not a vendor subscription.

Paste into cell B4 of the Inventory tab. It fills Vendor, Category, What it does, Owner, Amount and Cycle.

These appeared once, or the gaps between charges were too irregular to call a cycle. Annual subscriptions look exactly like this in a short export, so read the list rather than dismissing it. If you only pulled three months, pull twelve.

What this can and cannot do

It can spot a merchant charging you on a regular cadence, strip the payment-processor noise out of the descriptor, work out monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual from the gaps, and total up what it implies you are spending a year.

It cannot see anything that is not in the file. Charges on a personal card, fees deducted from revenue before it reaches your bank, invoices paid by transfer that look like any other payment, and app-store subscriptions billed through a platform are all invisible here. Pull every source you have.

It guesses. The category comes from keywords in the merchant name and the cycle comes from the spacing of the charges. Two charges 31 days apart might be a monthly subscription or a coincidence. That is why every field is editable, and why the confidence column exists.

This is step one of four. Once the vendors are listed, the kit works out the notice deadline behind every renewal date, decides which lines to cancel, downgrade or renegotiate, and ranks them by how much money each returns per minute of your time.

Find and eliminate at least one unnecessary recurring expense in 60 minutes.
